QQQ

Has been chopping back and forth all month. The moving averages are aligned for a move higher. However, we haven’t gotten much movement as the megacaps have been pinned. Breadth has been great. Regardless of what the index is doing, it is a traders job to listen to individual / groups of stocks.

This weeks economic calendar

Stocks

There have been a lot of stocks making new highs as the index chops around. That’s where the focus should be. Staying away from previous leaders (e.g. HOOD, IREN, NBIS, etc.) and focusing on stocks that are trading on the upper right hand corner of my chart. Not saying IREN/NBIS/HOOD are trash.

SIDU space theme, probably the crappiest one of the bunch. They (shit names) do tend to make the biggest moves. Keeping it on watch.

ONDS pushed out of it’s base, and is consolidating. Has been part of the defense EO that Trump is pushing out. Waiting for a setup.

HUT probably the strongest btc miner. Had big news few weeks back. Didn’t like the setup on Friday. Will be watching to see if it gives me something clearer, or I’ll likely pass.

APLD similar thoughts to HUT above. Watching it for a clearer set up. 4-5 month base.

RIOT newer btc miner that had news with AMD on Friday. Will be watching it in the next few weeks for a clear set up of an MA.

Outside of those stocks, news-based episodic pivot trades are on watch.

Every year I get reminded how far I’ve come, and how much of my setbacks yr/yr are generally foundational like oversizing, entering positions with no set up, etc. We all make mistakes, the key is to make less and less of them, and stay present enough to where we can notice them quicker if they start to show up in our trading.

QQQ

Got back over the 50ma on Friday with tons of stocks having bullish responses, some even broke out. The 10 just crossed over the 20, the 10ma angle is sloping up, and the 20 is slightly down. As long as we continue to push out from here, should start to see the 20ma start to turn up as well.

SNDK (SanDisk): Riding a massive post-spinoff rally as its BiCS8 NAND technology becomes the go-to for AI data centers needing extreme storage speed.

ONDS (Ondas): Winning huge government and border security contracts that have ballooned their revenue targets to over $110M for 2026.

SIDU (Sidus Space): Surging on the back of a major $151M Missile Defense Agency contract and intense retail interest in “New Space” players.

TE (T1 Energy): Benefiting from a 25% jump in solar shipments as the U.S. pushes for domestic energy manufacturing to power new data hubs.

LUNR (Intuitive Machines): Cementing its role as NASA’s primary lunar delivery partner with a growing backlog of moon-landing missions.

MU (Micron): Profiting from a “supercycle” in memory where supply can’t keep up with the HBM4 chips required for Nvidia’s next-gen AI hardware.

WDC (Western Digital): Seeing record margins as cloud giants buy up high-capacity drives to store the astronomical amounts of data AI is generating.

COHR (Coherent): Leading the market in the optical transceivers (the “plumbing” of the internet) needed to move AI data at 800G and 1.6T speeds.

GEV (GE Vernova): Capitalizing on the fact that power grids are hitting their limits; their gas turbines and grid tech are effectively “sold out” through 2028.

RKLB (Rocket Lab): Transitioning from a small-sat launcher to a major aerospace prime with a billion-dollar backlog and the Neutron rocket nearing launch.

PL (Planet Labs): Shifting from just taking photos of Earth to selling high-margin, AI-analyzed intelligence to government and defense agencies.

FLNC (Fluence): Capturing the urgent demand for massive battery systems needed to keep the power grid stable as AI and EVs drive electricity use to record highs.

STX (Seagate): Dominating the data center storage market as its HAMR technology (Heat-Assisted Magnetic Recording) allows cloud giants to pack 30TB+ onto a single drive, making it a critical, high-margin partner for the AI data explosion.

VIAV (Viavi Solutions): Thriving as the “referee” for high-speed internet; their testing gear is mandatory for companies building out 800G and 1.6T fiber networks to ensure AI clusters can actually talk to each other without lagging.

HYMC (Hycroft Mining): Exploding after hitting its highest silver grades ever at the Vortex zone in Nevada, which is fundamentally rewriting the company's valuation just as silver prices sit at record multi-year highs.

It has not been smooth sailing in December. However, a reduction in position sizing and not trading when the index is under the 50 has kept me relatively safe.

QQQ

Got back over the 50ma on Friday with tons of stocks having bullish responses once the pressure of the index was taken off. The 10 continues to be over the 20, the 10ma angle is sloping down only b/c of the last 10 days being down days, but the 20ma has turned UP for the first time in a while. As long as we continue to push out from here, should start to see the 10ma start to turn up as well.

IWM

Is resting right on the 20sma without a gut check of the 50ma. It looks great if it can continue out of this small pullback.

Stocks

Space names have really picked up in bids and volume. The next few charts are just meant to point them out.

COHR

Strength is driven by surging demand for AI-related data center infrastructure and the launch of a 300mm silicon carbide platform for high-efficiency cooling in AI hardware. Leading stock in this run that has pulled back and starting to setup at the 20ma. Friday could be considered an entry as it broke out of an inside day. Keeping in on watch.

APP

The stock has soared due to massive growth in its AI-driven advertising technology (AXON 2.0) and a strategic pivot toward a high-margin, pure-play software model. A textbook cup and handle in a leading growth name in the software space. Watching for some tightness to get involved.

VIAV

Robust performance follows a series of positive earnings surprises and successful diversification into the high-growth data center and aerospace/defense sectors. Watching it for some tightness at the 20ma. Has built a series of higher lows on the daily.

GEV

Reached record highs after the company boosted its 2025 financial targets, doubled its dividend, and positioned itself as a primary beneficiary of the AI-driven power demand surge. Has a pivot here, watching for an entry.

AMKR

Growth is fueled by record revenue in its communications and computing segments, specifically driven by advanced packaging solutions for AI applications and the iOS ecosystem. Pulled back to the 20ma and has put in a series of higher lows. Watching for an entry.

DXYZ

This closed-end fund has spiked due to intense retail interest and a high premium for its "private equity for all" model, offering rare public exposure to companies like SpaceX and OpenAI. With space stocks all catching a bid, this is another one that has made a big move off the lows on increased volume.

KSS

The stock rallied following a surprise Q3 profit beat, improved margin outlook, and the removal of the "interim" tag for its CEO, sparking momentum-buying and short-covering. A turnaround stock that has built a great looking flag with higher lows and the 20ma caught up. Watching for an entry.

WRBY

Recent gains were triggered by the announcement of a high-profile partnership with Google to develop and launch AI-powered smart glasses by 2026. Pulled back to a rising 10ma, watching for an entry over Friday’s high.

Some stocks pulled back to their rising 10 or 20ma. Others gave back their move.

It has not been smooth sailing since we got up over the 50ma at the beginning of December.

QQQ looks very vulnerable at the 50ma. Primarily led by the megacap stocks pulling back. Even though there might be some stocks setting up, my priority is to align myself with the index on the long side. With price being under the 10, and gut checking the 20 and 50, I’ll be scaling any new trades down to half size. If we start to get under the 50ma, or gap under it tomorrow, I won’t be looking to take anything new.

IWM leading which is where the most bullish action has been recently.

Stocks

GH being supported at the 20ma. Waiting for a range break to enter long. The company is experiencing strong fundamental growth with its oncology and innovative cancer screening tests, which has prompted it to raise its full-year sales outlook.

KSS is flagging and surfing the 10ma. Watching for a range break. Shares jumped following the catalyst of naming a permanent CEO and reporting better-than-expected third-quarter results, driven by improved margins and traffic.

TE pulled back on a stock offering. Surfing the 10ma. Watching the inside day high. As a provider of connectivity and sensor solutions, TE Connectivity is fundamentally leveraged to long-term secular trends in electrification, data, and automation.

PACS pushed out off the 10ma. Will be watching to see if it puts in a bigger flag on the daily to take long. The stock has seen a significant run following its IPO, with recent strength attributed to the general story of the company’s strong revenue growth and high projected growth rates for operating and net income in the coming years.

LQDA has been trending on the 10ma, waiting for some tightness. Big estimates for next year. Liquidia has seen a strong move, driven by the story of positive analyst sentiment and high price targets ahead of its potential commercialization of a key pulmonary hypertension drug.

MU pulled back back through the breakout. Will be watching to see if it can start to rise the 20ma and build a good set up to take long. The stock’s strength is a fundamental story driven by surging, ‘unprecedented’ demand for its High-Bandwidth Memory (HBM) chips, which are critical components for the AI data center buildout.

ASTS has been one of the big space theme stocks that has rallied recently. We are getting a well deserved pullback. Still in it’s base, could get a base and break above 85, or pick up off an MA if it builds a good range. The stock is driven by the exciting catalyst and long-term story of building a space-based cellular broadband network and upcoming launches like BlueBird 6 to connect unmodified mobile phones globally.

PATH watching for some higher lows off the 10ma, and a range break to take long. UiPath’s strength is based on the broader fundamental theme of surging demand for modern, AI-powered automation software, which translated into strong recent quarterly revenues.

RBRK pulled back to the 10ma on blow out earnings. Kind of a choppy name unless it’s taken from the beginning of it’s move. The stock saw a massive move following the catalyst of a robust Q3 earnings beat, an inflection point to profitability, and strong growth in its Cloud Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR).

APP pulled back to the 10ma and undercut it. One of the biggest growth names from the past 2 years. Watching for a cup and handle. AppLovin is benefiting from the fundamental story of its evolution into an AI-driven, multi-channel advertising powerhouse, highlighted by strong revenue, expanding margins, and massive free cash flow generation.

TTMI has shown RS vs the market and estimates are increasing for next year. Pulled back to the 10ma. The recent share price momentum is built on the story that TTM is fundamentally positioned to capture significant demand for advanced Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) used in AI and cloud infrastructure buildouts.

FLNC failed breakout and pulled back. Watching for a better set up. Fluence Energy’s price surged on the catalyst of strong analyst upgrades and high price target increases due to its high growth rate and better visibility into improving gross margins.

FROG pushed out of it’s 1 month base and found momentum. Has put in some tight days with the market pulling back in to the 50. JFrog’s strong performance is attributed to the fundamental strength of its software supply chain platform, particularly the robust 50% growth in its cloud business which is outperforming expectations.

CIFR - building the right side of this base. Put in an inside week last week. This Bitcoin miner is benefiting immensely from the recent resurgence in crypto and is constantly optimizing its operations with low-cost power sources.

WULF - building the right side of it’s base and put in an inside week last week. WULF has been successfully pivoting beyond just Bitcoin mining by leveraging its energy assets to become a key player in high-performance computing and AI data centers. This strategic dual focus—on both rising crypto and the booming AI infrastructure build-out—has made it a compelling growth story.

NBIS - resting right on the 50ma… Looks very coiled, can go either way. NBIS is riding a massive wave of AI adoption, demonstrating explosive revenue growth and recently landing huge strategic deals with hyperscalers like Microsoft. Management’s conservative guidance and flawless execution on high-demand, AI-related infrastructure have made it a favorite with growth investors.

MU - want some tightness tomorrow to potentially take it out of this flag on Tues / Wed. They are perfectly positioned for the AI-driven data center boom, as demand for its high-performance DRAM and NAND chips is outstripping supply.

MRVL - three tight days, want the moving averages to catch up or have price test it first. Marvell is critical for connecting the massive AI systems, with its custom silicon and electro-optics products acting as the “nervous system” for modern data centers. The company is delivering better-than-expected profits and strong forward guidance, proving it’s an essential partner in the ongoing AI infrastructure race.

CRDO - monster eps and sales beat / raise. Estimates are looking good for next year. Credo has established itself as the critical link in the AI infrastructure chain, providing the high-speed connectivity solutions that allow massive GPU clusters to function as a single supercomputer. Following a monster earnings report, the market is recognizing CRDO as a leveraged bet on the massive capital spending of the biggest hyperscale data center operators.

AMD - resting on the 50ma. Rejected the 20 on Friday. Could see this giving a strong reclaim if it gets volume. They are quickly positioning themselves as the main challenger to NVDAin the AI chip market, launching powerful new accelerators that are being snapped up by big data center customers. The company is successfully executing on a strong growth plan, and investors are betting that their market share gains in the booming AI sector will translate into significant future profits.

NVDA - same thoughts as AMD. I am not looking to trade it. Just keeping an eye on it for clues. NVDA is essentially the essential gear provider for the entire AI gold rush, as their GPUs are unmatched for training the massive AI models like ChatGPT. Their incredible data center growth and strong software ecosystem mean almost every major tech company needs their chips, securing their leadership position for the foreseeable future.

AMPX - reclaimed all key moving averages and working on the right side of it’s base. Need some backfill. Amprius is leading the charge in next-generation battery technology with its high-energy-density silicon anode batteries, which are seeing increasing adoption in high-value markets like unmanned aerial systems (UAS). A recent significant purchase order highlights growing commercial validation and strong investor confidence in its technological advantage.

EOSE - same thoughts as AMPX, technical wise. This company has captured investor attention by offering a scalable, non-flammable zinc battery storage system that is a crucial alternative to lithium-ion, especially for utility and commercial use. With a huge potential revenue pipeline and funding from the Department of Energy, Eos is betting big on the future of grid-scale energy storage.

SNDK - They had a phenomenal quarter with numbers that blew away expectations, and then they got a huge boost from being added to the S&P 500. This is all due to the explosive, non-stop demand for high-performance flash memory needed everywhere from phones to major AI data centers.

FROG - These guys absolutely crushed their latest earnings report and raised their guidance for the year, which really got people excited about their DevOps and cloud platform. Essentially, they’ve proven they’re a must-have for enterprises building out software, and the market is finally giving them credit for that sustained growth.

ONDS - The stock took off because they showed huge revenue growth, proving their autonomous drone and specialized wireless networks are seriously in demand right now. With a massive backlog of orders, it looks like they are hitting their stride in the crucial Industrial Internet of Things space.

BW - This was a pure-play catalyst: they landed a mind-blowing $1.5 billion contract to build power plants specifically for giant AI Data Centers. That single deal completely changed the narrative, signaling that this old industrial name is now a key infrastructure player in the high-growth AI energy sector.

FSLY - The stock is moving because its specialized edge cloud network is seeing really strong customer adoption and revenue expansion. People are betting that they will significantly improve their margins and continue to capture market share in the critical content delivery and security space.

APPN - Appian absolutely crushed their most recent earnings report, surprising everyone by hitting a GAAP net profit and proving they can be both a growth company and a profitable one. On the product side, investors are really excited because their low-code platform is seeing massive adoption of its AI-powered automation features, which is what enterprises are desperate for right now.

VICR - They’ve been on fire because their power components are absolutely essential for the most powerful AI chips and data center servers being deployed right now. Analysts loved their recent earnings beat and a new licensing deal, which confirms their hardware is integral to the whole AI buildout.

OPEN - Turn around story. Positioning themselves to become profitable.

It’s been a while since my last post on this stack, and I wanted to check in with a quick update!

I’ve recently relocated to the West Coast. This has been a great change, especially regarding the market session: being in the Pacific time zone means the open is a bit earlier, and the close conveniently wraps up shortly after noon. On the personal front, my family is healthy, and my spirits are high.

I plan to significantly increase my writing output here. I truly enjoy the process of getting my thoughts organized and interacting with fellow traders—it’s an outlet I value. Market Monitor

We recently saw a shakeout and recent reclaim of the 10, 20 and 50ma. New high new low is currently green which is a good sign.

The 10ma has turned up and is in a positive degree angle, while the 20ma is flattening out.

The environment is a bit choppy at the moment, nonetheless there are stocks showing strength which is a good sign.

Individual Names

There are a lot of stocks that are showing strength. I personally like to focus on the names that are in a particular theme, or the growth names that have reported triple digit eps/sales. There are other names I’m watching as well, but these are some that may have buyable pivots soon.

MU - Micron recently bounced sharply off the 50ma, and has reclaimed the 10 / 20 moving averages. The eps/sales for this year have been amazing, and the estimates for next year continue to be strong.

The stock is surging due to bullish analyst upgrades and the accelerating demand for its High-Bandwidth Memory (HBM) chips critical for the ongoing AI data center boom.

COHR - Coherent Corp has been a growth name that I’ve been tracking for a while now. The RS on this stock has been great as the it didn’t even get to the 50ma on the markets sharp pullback. The eps/sales for this year are on the chart, and the estimates are set to accelerate next year.

The company is benefiting from strong, better-than-expected earnings driven by record demand for its optical products used in AI data centers and communication sectors.

CIEN - Ciena has been trending since it’s earnings gap up in September. Recently pulled back to the 50ma, and sharply reclaimed with the help of the market.

The stock is up due to a strong revenue beat, optimistic guidance, and surging demand for its high-speed networking and optical infrastructure necessary for AI and cloud expansion.

FSLY - Fastly Inc. has been base building for over two years now and is starting to show signs of growth as they just reported a triple digit eps this recent quarter. Their estimates for next year look to be accelerating, and if it catches momentum, it will begin a stage 2 uptrend.

Recent movement is tied to a planned transfer of its stock listing to the Nasdaq Global Select Market and positive leadership and strategic announcements, including a new CEO.

APPN - Appian Corp has reported triple digit eps for three straight quarters in a row and had an episodic pivot on it’s most recent earnings report in November. It is consolidating now and showed little to no signs of weaknes during the market pullback. The liquidity is a little lower on the daily, trades around $25 million dollars a day. Consolidating and letting the moving averages catch up.

The rise is generally attributed to strong recent quarterly earnings and the company’s continuous launch of new AI and automation capabilities within its low-code platform.

CLS - Celestica Inc. has been one of the biggest growth gainers of this year. Recently pulled back to the 50ma, and reclaimed after the market pullback. It put in a tight day yesterdays session, and broke out today. Remains one of the leaders in this market.

The stock is soaring following impressive, above-consensus Q3 results, significantly raised 2025/2026 guidance, and surging demand for its AI-related data center hardware.

To understand the power of earnings season, I will be using this post to document some of the best earnings winners from last season. The set ups are apparent, and I traded most of them. However, spotting them and learning how to manage the trade is where the art comes in. When you have a clear set of rules of how you’re going to manage a potential big winner, you take the guessing out of the equation. That’s what I did and it has helped me execute with no emotion.

It’s important to have a clear set of rules to be able to take proper trades with sound risk management, position sizing, and sell rules in place. Earnings season produces some of the best opportunities every year. The examples above are from only last quarter.

I’m finally able to start writing again. For those that don’t know, I moved across the country, and now am settled in our new home.

QQQ — at this point in time, I like to ignore what the index is doing. There are so many stocks, themes, and sectors performing so well, its safe to not even look at what the index is doing. Focus right now is on the strongest stocks, whether in them or not. We have just been chopping around, and the nasdaq does not tell you the type of action we’ve been seeing under the hood.

SPY — same thoughts as the QQQ

IWM — over the 200ma last week, and retested the 20ma today and got bought back up. Trending..

ARKK — steadily moving up since the b/o in June

Individual Stocks

Stocks are doing very well, and that itself is an understatement.

CRCL — very nice breakout today on an increase in volume

JOBY — has been on a tear since it’s news a few weeks ago. EVTOL name. One to keep on watch for the future if it gives a set up.

RCAT — big developments for the drone theme as the white house has stated they would want to accelerate the production of drones. RCAT seems to be the liquid name with highesst ADR to trade. Will be on watch.

SMR, OKLO, LEU — good follow through from these from their recent entries. I own SMR, OKLO.

Quantum names got picked up a bit today on the RGTI news. Watching to see what QBTS, QUBT do from here as think they have the best looking dailies out of the rest.

$RGTI $RGTIW Rigetti Demonstrates Industry Largest Multi-Chip Quantum Computer; Halves Two-Qubit Gate Error Rate.

ASTS — one of the leaders in my point of view and has been strong since the breakout. The volume continues to be impressive.

Crypto week has been good for many crypto names. I was focused in IBIT and COIN and was able to get some positions in those.

IREN — the leading miner I’m very interested in as think it’s the leader.. Flagging

Closing Thoughts

Under the surface, stocks are strong. Indexes are chopping, and leaders are leading.

It’s truthfully been an uneventful week, to say the least. Other than the UBER catalyst position, some stocks have given back or round-tripped gains from pivots. Quantum and nuclear names continue to pull back, and the big question in those two sectors is:

1. Are they going to find buyers and base for a while?

2. Or are they finally going to start rolling over?

It seems we’re in a market where things are much more selective. I continue to favor growth-ier names or themes that show strong linear momentum (think: $HOOD, $PLTR, $CRDO recently) over names that just grind higher (like $CRWD, $SPOT).

Indexes

QQQ — Closing right up against all-time highs. Breadth was down, but that’s a result of the choppiness we’ve been seeing. Aside from a select few names, it's been a choppy environment for new positions.

SPY — Still has some catching up to do. The bright side: Nasdaq is leading, which is typically bullish.

IWM — Struggling with the 200-day moving average.

$ARKK – A strong, linear move off its recent pivot. Now working through a large base. Back in a Stage 2 uptrend.

Individual Stocks

The common theme across these names: they need more sideways action.

$DAVE – A great hold since the May EP. With the market recovering from a correction, it gained solid traction. Still worth watching if it digests and forms a new pivot.

$RKLB – Despite a bearish engulfing day today, continued sideways action could lead to a daily cup-and-handle setup. Needs work.

$ASTS – Huge move. Impressive strength today, especially considering the offering news. Some chop here would be healthy.

$MP – Nice move off the lows. Setting up along the rising 10 EMA. Recent accumulation is encouraging.

With the amount of chop we saw today, I think it’s only fair to assume that new buys haven’t gotten much traction. New buys today on WING and TSLA were met with pullbacks as geopolitical tensions continue. However they did hold their lows, so I have full positions in them.

Nonetheless, my focus has always been the strongest stocks in the market that have the potential to outperform the index.

$QQQ closed under the 10MA on Friday. The conflict in Iran picked up over the weekend, which is causing overnight futures have gap down. What will be very important to monitor now is see if this gap finds buyers and if we start to hold. Or do we just sell off and potentially revisit the 200ma. The health of my watch list is what I’m monitoring over the course of the week.

Stocks I’m watching

- Massive IPO break out few months ago and has started to consolidate. Recent highs as a starter, real entry is over $75 (offering high).

- robotaxi launched Friday. Will be watching this technical set up as a higher low entry over $333.

- EAT, SHAK, and other restaurants have been doing well and WING is also a strong name in that group. Watching this one off the 20MA for a potential higher low entry.

- Quantum leader finding support on the 20MA. Watching for a consolidation break entry over recent highs. Spec name.

- Probably my favorite name in the market given it’s current story. Has had a big run from April lows and has had a few catalysts to bring it up to highs. Watching it up here for a flag break. $50 - $51 range is the real break out entry, however, can find a low cheat entry over recent HOD.

- Hasn’t had much power recently. We will see what it does with this inside day it has put in. A low cheat entry would be over the inside day high, however, the real b/o imo is over $72.
